An information evening organised jointly by Velocity Football and partners Ignite Sport will take place next month to help individuals passionate about pursuing a career in sport.
Taking place on Wednesday, December 8 (6.30pm), at the Velocity Stadium in Marston, Oxford, the evening will provide visitors a practical insight into the higher education courses and apprenticeship programmes both organisations provide.
Current students and members of staff will be available to provide a first-hand insight into their experiences of the Velocity programme and explain how it helps individuals reach their full potential with the support of an experienced and qualified team of coaches.
Justin Merritt, Director of Velocity Football, said former Velocity students now working full-time in sport all started their educational pathway via an information evening.
He added: “Information evenings really help prospective students on the Velocity programme establish a clear understanding of how we can support their development on and off the pitch.
“We are a football-based educational academy, but the lessons learnt outside of training sessions and matches help students develop skills and knowledge which can be applied professionally once they graduate.
“We also specialise in the provision of sports and teaching-based qualifications via Ignite, delivering apprenticeships from Level 2 intermediate up to Level 5 higher. This means we can offer an apprenticeship to suit all levels of development – including new and existing employees.
“I would encourage everyone considering to sign-up to do so now via our digital form and we look forward to seeing everyone on the evening.”
