Velocity Football has launched a remote learning programme for our students following confirmation of another national lockdown to help control the spread of COVID-19.
Students are following online learning and fitness plans and are using modern technology to manage workflows and communicate together. Tuition will continue via video technology and online platforms.
Using 360Player, students can receive and submit work digitally with the support of our team of tutors and coaches. Tuition will continue via video technology and 360Player. All National and Tactic League fixtures have been suspended until further notice.
Velocity Football director Justin Merritt said: “The safety of our students, colleagues and their families will always be of the upmost importance.
“Following guidance from our education partner Virtual Learning UK and the Department of Education that students in years 12 and 13 should learn from home, we informed our students they would be learning remotely this week due to the worsening COVID-19 pandemic.
“After it was announced by Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday evening that the country will enter a third lockdown, students will continue to learn from home until further notice.
“We had a clear plan and process in place for this eventuality to ensure our students will continue to receive tuition and maintain their development. Our tutors and coaches have adapted quickly to ensure online attendance targets are achieved and that our students are engaged with positively.
“Additionally, we are taking part in Red January to maintain our physical activity, keep positive and hopefully inspire more people to get active.”
Velocity Football will continue to issue further updates to students and their parents or carers via 360Player, plus our social media platforms and website.
